Quiet village in NSW heartland
RFBI Dubbo Masonic Retirement Village is located in Dubbo, a dynamic, regional city in the centre of New South Wales, with a rich pastoral history. The village is conveniently located, with a bus service at the end of Darby Close and the CBD just 4km away.
The village hall, for the use of all residents, has a comprehensive library and space for special functions including Christmas and Melbourne Cup day. Other regular activities include crafts, card games, high tea and celebrations of special events.
Organisations such as Probus and Day and Evening View Clubs regularly meet here and welcome your participation.
When you prefer a little less activity, you'll find many quiet spots where you can simply relax and enjoy the scenery. The village prides itself on its beautiful gardens and is home to some rare plant species.
If you don't drive, a bus service runs past the village frequently, taking you to most city areas.

RFBI Dubbo Masonic Retirement Village offers a mix of 1 and 2 bedroom units, 45 in all. They are designed as duplexes and have their own laundries, some with garages, others with car spaces.
The units are well designed, each with a living/dining area, bedrooms with built in cupboards and a well-appointed kitchen. Several of the 1 bedroom units have a carport and all the 2 bedroom units come with a lockup garage; and an internal door, giving you easy covered access to your home.
Some units have solar panels and natural gas. There are safety screens on outside doors and windows. Each unit also has an emergency response system.
Please note that you will need to pay a departure fee when you leave this village.

History
In 1983, an area of vacant land in Dubbo was granted to St Vincent de Paul, Legacy, Girl Guides and RFBI.
Later that year, 10 one-bedroom units and a community hall were built on the RFBI Dubbo Masonic Retirement Village site. A legacy Village comprising 16 one-bedroom units was built on adjacent land. Between 1989 and 2001 a further 19 2-bedroom units were built.
Recent developments include the addition of solar panels to all 29 units in 2011. That year, RFBI also purchased the Legacy Village; this means RFBI Dubbo Masonic Village now houses a total of 45 independent living units.
