Bathurst is Australia’s oldest inland settlement and the site of the first gold discovery. Today, it is a vibrant city with a rich cultural heritage evident in the many beautiful buildings that are a reminder of the gold rush and a rich pastoral and manufacturing heritage.

RFBI Bathurst Masonic Village is just a stroll from a huge variety of shops and services. The district is well served by doctors and other health care providers.

If you prefer not to walk, the village bus will take you there or a public bus stop is also conveniently located in front of the village.

At RFBI Bathurst Masonic Village we offer three one-bedroom apartments and eighteen two-bedroom apartments. The four upstairs apartments all have electric stair-lift access, as well as stairs.

All units are carpeted and have their own en-suite bathroom and a vital call service for emergencies, and an emergency response system in installed in all apartments for peace of mind.

The village is fully landscaped and many residents maintain lovely gardens which are judged annually in our popular Spring Garden Festival competition. There are several pleasant walks and places to stop and chat with family or friends or simply relax and read the paper.

The village has a community hall for get-togethers, games and other organised activities. A village bus takes residents on a choice of varied outings. A podiatrist and hairdresser visit the village regularly and can be booked.

History

Construction of RFBI Bathurst Masonic Village began in 1987 with 13 independent living villas initially built. Due to high demand, a further eight villas were completed in 1992.

The first resident was given the honour of naming the facility, and chose Cheriton, the name of a village in England, their homeland.
