We are well aware that the decisions involved cause rising levels of concern both personally and for your loved ones. You will find us completely attuned to your needs, and dedicated to helping both you and your family adapt to the many changes ahead.
You can count on our compassionate and caring staff to listen to your needs in detail and provide the right options for you.
Tranquil community setting close to city life
RFBI Goulburn Masonic Village is in a quiet location less than 2km from the Goulburn city centre (two hours drive from Sydney and one hour from Canberra).
Goulburn was Australia’s first inland city; its many attractions include the splendid architecture of the original buildings and houses. Here, you can enjoy the convenience of city services together with the calm serenity of a country lifestyle.
We offer a wide variety of activities including bus excursions and visits to local shopping centres and restaurants. Community groups visit the village regularly to provide fun and entertainment.
Our community hall provides a venue for residents to meet and join in a wide variety of activities. For quiet times, there are several secluded, peaceful garden areas and courtyards. Various religious services are held in the activities room.
Our 12-seater bus heads off each Tuesday to Goulburn for shopping.
Everything you need is right here
RFBI Goulburn Masonic Village comprises 43 residential care rooms — 32 for permanent residents, one for respite care plus a 10-bed memory support unit for residents living with dementia. Each room offers spacious accommodation and en-suite bathrooms; many have a private balcony.
Care is provided 24 hours a day in a loving and friendly environment where quality of life and attention to your needs are our number one priority. Our personal care assistants help with day to day needs as required; showering, dressing, grooming, mobility and ongoing treatment for health problems. Recreational and therapeutic activities are managed onsite for convenience
Catering and laundry are both on site, with main meals served in the village’s large dining room. Morning and afternoon teas and supper are also provided. Your visitors are also invited to enjoy a catered meal with you at a minimal charge.

As of the 1st July 2014, new residents have greater choice on how to pay for their accommodation costs. These choices include;
- Residents can choose to pay for accommodation by a refundable deposit (RAD) paid as a lump sum,
- A daily payment (DAP), or
- A combination of both
A daily accommodation payment accrues daily and is paid periodically (e.g. fortnightly). A combination payment includes both a partial lump sum and daily.
As RFBI offers a variety of accommodation options and prices we encourage you and your family to discuss your needs with a financial adviser to ensure that you are receiving the best financial outcome available to you.
Our published Accommodation Payment prices are our maximum rates and will apply for those with adequate financial means. Residents with limited assets may be eligible for support by the Government.
This means that you will not be required to pay the Accommodation Payment. If you are not supported but affordability is still a factor, be assured this will not necessarily affect your eligibility for accommodation.
The Room Prices (RAD) and Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP) amounts quoted above are current as of today and may change (in line with interest rate adjustments) for entry dates after the 1st July. When there are changes to the interest rate, RFBI will update the new DAP based on the new quarterly interest rate.
Optional additional costs (ie not including the accommodation price for the room) associated with the room
At this Village we are pleased offer a range of services that you can access at an additional cost including hairdressing, café/kiosk purchases and Foxtel.
