Residents in RFBI Goulburn Masonic Village were recently treated to a visit from Winx, a miniature horse who is trained as a therapy animal. Led by his owner, Hayley, Winx brought smiles and laughter to the faces of the residents, who were delighted to interact with the gentle creature.

Winx is a miniature horse who is specially trained to provide emotional support and comfort to people, including our residents. Therapy animals like Winx have been shown to have a positive impact on people’s mental health, reducing stress and anxiety and improving overall wellbeing.

The residents were able to pet and stroke Winx, speak to him and give him a little love.

Winx will be visiting every three months to provide comfort and companionship to residents.
