We have many amazing volunteers who generously give their time to assist our teams across our services and locations and further support the residents in our villages. Marcia is one who has been a part of our RFBI Leeton Masonic Village for many years now, and who we are extremely grateful for.

Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 lockdown, we’ve been unable to welcome our volunteers into the village until recently when restrictions eased. Marcia was one of the first to return.

Marcia calls our bingo games and spends time enjoying one-on-one chats with residents in the village each Monday morning.

Recently Marcia brought an atlas in to the village for her chat with resident, Roy. Marcia and Roy share a lot of common interests, having both been born in the UK. Marcia and Roy had a wonderful time pointing out the different locations they’d visited and reminiscing about the hills they climbed and castles they visited when they were young.

Marcia said she is passionate about volunteering in the Leeton village.

“The management in the village seem very focused and helpful. I love it here,” Marcia said.

If you have time to spare and would like to support the older members of our aged care communities, we’d love to hear from you. We have opportunities available across our villages in NSW and the ACT. Please contact your nearest aged care village, call our Head Office on 1800 181 959, or email us at volunteer@rfbi.com.au.
