The main hall at RFBI Tamworth Masonic Village was filled with lively melodies, warm conversation and delicious morning tea treats as residents gathered for a special musical event.

We were delighted to bring together residents from RFBI Tamworth Masonic Village and RFBI Moonbi Masonic Retirement Village for a joint morning tea and live performance by the U3A Ukulele Band. Part of the University of the Third Age (U3A), the band is made up of talented, retired members of the Tamworth community who share a deep passion for music, performing and spreading joy to others.

The inter-village gathering was organised by our Leisure & Lifestyle team to encourage cross-community social connections, allowing residents from both Tamworth and Moonbi to catch up with old friends and forge new connections over shared music.

The band treated the audience to a delightful repertoire of classic tunes and popular hits, sparking enthusiastic applause, sing-alongs and plenty of laughter across the room. Following the performance, residents from both villages enjoyed a delicious spread prepared by our Catering team while sharing stories about their favourite musical memories.

The morning was a fantastic success, leaving residents and staff from both communities with bright smiles and wonderful memories of a lovely day together.
