Teddy Bears Picnic16 Oct 2019
Kindergarten and Year 1 students from Wamooon Public School were recently invited to RFBI Leeton Masonic Village for a Teddy Bears Picnic. Eleven children brought along their favourite teddy bear and sang the well-known teddy bears picnic song for the residents.
Each resident from our memory care unit were also given teddy bears to join in the fun. Everyone had a wonderful time and the school students are looking forward to returning to the Village next month for more activities.
This is just one of the many activities the Village organises as part of their ongoing intergenerational program. Intergenerational care programs have been proven to enhance the overall well-being of both the young and the old. At RFBI, our lifestyle teams work closely with learning centres and public schools in the local community to bring children and residents together giving them the opportunity to learn from and connect with an older generation.
