The community at RFBI Tamworth Masonic Village gathered for a special morning tea this month to celebrate an extraordinary milestone: 25 years of dedicated volunteer service by Chris Wright.

Chris has led a remarkably varied lifetime of service. Throughout his career he had worked as a truck driver in Sydney, served as an Anglican minister in Tenterfield, Werris Creek and Barraba, led a counseling centre as principal and served as chaplain to Mackay Nursing Home. Today, he continues his ministry with the Uniting Church in Tamworth.

For a quarter of a century Chris has been a deeply valued volunteer across the village. He regularly presides over monthly church services and provides individual spiritual guidance, comfort and emotional support to our residents.

Chris has become an integral and much-loved member of the village family, always ready to drop by, visit residents and lend a comforting ear whenever needed.

To mark his 25th anniversary, staff and residents hosted a celebratory morning tea in his honour, presenting him with tokens of appreciation for his outstanding contribution.

The entire Residential Care Village extends its heartfelt gratitude to Chris for his ongoing commitment, kindness and extraordinary generosity over the past 25 years.
