Sue Sandry, taking personal time to help

Sonia Lim 22 Jan 2020

Sue Sandry, Carer at RFBI Bathurst Masonic Village

When Sue Sandry, a Carer at RFBI Bathurst Masonic Village had some extra days off, she generously applied to volunteer her personal time with NSW Health and assist those affected by the bush fire. She was delighted when she was rostered in a residential care village, South of Batemans Bay and able to offer her skills as a Carer. Together with other volunteers from across NSW, she has been supporting staff from the residential care village who had lost their homes and others working double shifts and exhausted.

“Despite the hardships, everyone has been pleasant and relieved to get some assistance,” Sue shares.

At RFBI, we are proud to have such dedicated staff who not only care for our residents but also others in these difficult times. To read out more about our services and the staff who care for our residents, visit https://rfbi.com.au/news-events/
