A moment with Paige

The role of a Lifestyle Officer with RFBI offers excitement and challenges every day. They are tasked to get to know our residents and find engaging activities that help stimulate resident’s minds, maintain social connections and create great experiences for our residents to live a happy life.

When Paige moved home after commencing her Nursing Degree, she needed a job and never thought she would work in aged care. But as soon as she started her role as a Lifestyle Officer at RFBI West Wyalong Masonic Village, she knew it was where she wanted to be.

“I really enjoy caring for our residents and helping them with their daily activities. One of the best things about what I do is seeing the residents laugh and hearing the different stories they share.”

Her passion to make residents laugh and caring for them has led her to learning the ins and outs of working in aged care from our experienced team. And today, she is training to be a Carer.

“The biggest highlight working at RFBI is when I started my traineeship to be a Carer,” she shares.

Paige enjoys learning from her colleagues and can’t speak higher of the team. Her advice to anyone thinking about working in aged care is to be open to the opportunities.

“I may not have wanted to work in aged care but now I love it and won’t be leaving anytime soon.”
