In a heartwarming event that left smiles on every face, residents of RFBI Bellingen Masonic Village had the pleasure of welcoming two support horses from Kitchi Kai Support Horses. The visit was a resounding success, offering a unique and enriching experience for everyone involved.

Animal therapy is a regular occurrence across our villages. The warmth and friendliness of animals brings delight to seniors – they became sources of joy, connection, and nostalgia, particularly for residents who hailed from rural areas.

What made this event even more special was the inclusive approach taken by RFBI. Residents who were bedridden were given the same opportunity to meet the horses, pat them and enjoy their company. It was a heartwarming moment enjoyed by all.

At the end of the visit, it was clear the horses had become more than guests – they were part of the RFBI family.

Everyone is eagerly anticipating the possibility of making the visit an annual tradition. The hope is to bring more moments of joy, connection, and shared laughter to the RFBI community through our animal visitors.
