Halloween, although an American celebration, has special meaning in many Australian senior’s lives. Youthful memories of dressing up, trick or treating, cooking Halloween themed goodies and other traditions are brought to life and shared with grandkids and between residents.

For our villages, Halloween is an opportunity for residents and staff to dress up, for spooky decorations to be spread throughout the village and for a little fun. RFBI Leeton Masonic Village organised a special Halloween themed morning tea, complete with witchy dress-ups for residents to wear. Together they listened to vintage Halloween music, played Halloween trivia and completed a Halloween themed crossword as a group.

At RFBI Basin View Masonic Village, residents and staff dressed in scary costumes, told jokes and had a good time over morning tea. Our Catering team made lovely orange and black cupcakes fit for the occasion. Everyone had a smashing time as residents with a ‘ghost’ pinata filled with chocolates.

It was a lot of fun and residents and staff has a great time dressing up. For more news from our Villages, visit https://rfbi.com.au//news-events/
