There is nothing quite like the power of music to bring people together and this week the lounge room at RFBI Kurri Kurri Masonic Village was filled with beautiful harmonies and plenty of smiles.

The Cessnock Seniors Choir travelled to the village for one of their highly anticipated bi-annual concerts. These regular musical visits are designed to spread joy, but they also offer a wonderful opportunity for the residents to reconnect with familiar faces, pick up long-standing friendships and share a laugh with old mates.

Following the beautiful performance, everyone gathered to share a delicious morning tea, allowing the residents and choir members to chat, mingle and reminisce about old times.

These musical events are a core part of the diverse schedule organised by our Leisure & Lifestyle team to support the emotional wellbeing and independence of the residents. Beyond the beautiful music and social engagement, these visits have also become a wonderful way to recruit new volunteers who feel inspired by the warm, inclusive atmosphere of the village.
