At RFBI, we proudly celebrate the teams and individuals who go above and beyond to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we care for. This year, as part of our 2025 Showcase Awards, we’re delighted to recognise the RFBI Bellingen Masonic Village Administration Team, made up of Linda Selem and Suraj Gurung, as finalists in the Team of the Year category.

Often working quietly behind the scenes, Linda and Suraj are the steady hands and calm voices that keep the village running smoothly. From managing schedules and paperwork to supporting residents, families and staff, their contribution reaches far beyond administration, they are the glue that holds daily operations together.

Their exceptional teamwork shone brightly during the recent flood events. In the face of uncertainty, Linda and Suraj provided vital coordination, quick decision-making and emotional reassurance, helping the service navigate through crisis without any disruption to care or communication.

What makes this team truly special is their unwavering commitment to people. Linda approaches every interaction with warmth, empathy and grace, supporting residents and families with compassion, especially during times of change or challenge. Suraj’s calm leadership and logistical expertise extend not only across Bellingen but also to the broader team in Coffs Harbour ensuring everyone feels supported and valued.

“Linda and Suraj are fantastic examples of excellence in aged care,” said Jason D’Onofrio, General Manager at RFBI Bellingen Masonic Village. “I am beyond proud of the recognition they’ve received in this year’s awards. Their contribution to our village is invaluable.”

The Bellingen Administration Team is one of 21 finalists across RFBI who will be honoured at the 2025 Showcase Awards Evening in Sydney this September, where the winners will be announced and celebrated among peers and industry leaders.

Stay tuned as we continue to shine a spotlight on the outstanding people who bring our values to life every day.
