For the second year in a row, RFBI Benhome Masonic Village has proudly hosted the Life Timeline Project – an initiative that brings together residents and local students in a unique exchange of stories and history.

Throughout the project, residents shared personal memories, life lessons and reflections from years gone by. These conversations not only gave students an incredible opportunity to learn about Maitland’s history from those who lived it, but also offered residents the joy of reminiscing and passing on their wisdom to the next generation.

The project culminated in a beautiful presentation by the students, which was attended by families. The heartfelt event brought plenty of smiles and even a few tears of joy, as everyone reflected on the power of shared stories across generations.

Projects like this highlight the importance of intergenerational connections and the way they enrich village life. They help preserve local history; foster understanding between young and old; and create treasured memories for residents, families and students alike.
