We appreciate the important role nurses play in our aged care communities every day! International Nurses Day is a special opportunity for us to show our appreciation to the vital work our nurses do.

Our CEO, Frank Price, shared a special message of support to nurses for the day (watch it by clicking here). Our villages also held their own celebrations in the form of special morning teas or gave gifts of appreciation to our staff.

In RFBI Leeton Masonic Village, the special day was celebrated in a unique and joyous way, combined with a gender reveal morning tea for the expectant child of our esteemed General Manager, Sarah. Laughter, smiles, and heartfelt congratulations filled the air as Sarah shared the exciting news of her baby’s gender, and residents and colleagues were also able to take the opportunity to share their thanks with our expert nurses on the team.

In RFBI Raleigh Urunga Masonic Village, our weekly gardening group created a very special gift of appreciation for our nurses. They potted some beautiful succulents and have been tending to them quietly behind doors, so they were ready to be gifted on this special day. The Leisure & Lifestyle staff also assisted the residents in crafting heartfelt thank-you cards, which were securely attached to the succulent pots, adding a personal touch to their expressions of gratitude. These thoughtful gifts were presented to the nurses as tokens of appreciation for their dedicated and compassionate care.

In RFBI Holt Masonic Village, our nurses were overjoyed to receive heartfelt thank-you cards prepared by the talented Leisure & Lifestyle staff and with the help of residents. Together we enjoyed a feast of yummy Chinese food, which was an amazing way to celebrate a special occasion. Thank you to the Catering Team!

International Nurses Day holds immense significance at RFBI as it recognises the selfless efforts and dedication of nurses in providing exceptional care to residents in our villages. We thank you for your contribution to the high quality of care we strive to provide.
