RFBI villages commemorate King’s Coronation in style

Residents across RFBI villages were transported into a world of regal splendour in celebration of the Coronation of King Charles III with a series of royal-themed events and festivities. From lavish high teas and scrumptious meals to engaging activities, the residents embraced the occasion with enthusiasm and elegance.

In RFBI Bathurst Masonic Village, both residents and staff embraced the opportunity to dress up as Ladies and Lords for the day, indulging in a high tea fit for a king. Laughter and merriment filled the air as they enjoyed delightful treats and engaged in a royal-themed quiz.

The residents of RFBI Coffs Harbour Masonic Village were treated to an all-day celebration, starting with a delectable high tea in the wellness center, featuring a spread of delightful treats. Reminiscing and laughter filled the room as residents participated in a royal quiz, followed by a regal lunch with a choice of Coronation quiche or Coronation chicken curry. The day continued with royal bingo and plenty of photo-worthy moments with crowns and smiles.

Over in RFBI Glen Innes Masonic Village, residents were also partaking in a scrumptious high tea, complete with sandwiches, lamingtons, scones, and biscuits. They enjoyed their tea while sitting on the throne and basking in the regal atmosphere. Lunch was a delicious affair, with a choice between Coronation quiche and Coronation curry chicken, followed by a delightful rhubarb dessert. The residents also had the pleasure of watching the Coronation events unfold on television, while they proudly wore the crowns they had created during an earlier activity.

Meanwhile, at RFBI Holt Masonic Village, the residents also enjoyed a royal high tea celebration, complete with an array of finger foods and a wonderful concert by Phil Major. The venue was adorned with royal blue balloons, creating an enchanting ambiance. The residents had a memorable time singing and dancing along to the beautiful music.

In RFBI Lake Haven Masonic Village, residents enjoyed a nice cuppa and delicious food, whilst participating in a royal quiz and sharing funny royal jokes for us all to laugh along to.

RFBI Leeton Masonic Village residents indulged in hot finger foods and a tempting variety of cakes served on silver high tea platters. The ladies donned beautiful hats, and their hair and makeup were lavishly styled for the occasion. You look wonderful ladies!

Over in RFBI Benhome Masonic Village, residents immersed themselves in a morning tea of sandwiches and scones, followed by a sumptuous three-course lunch. The residents’ favourite dish was the quiche! The afternoon was filled with laughter and excitement during happy hour, featuring royal bingo and the crowning of the King and Queen of Benhome. The staff also joined in the festivities, dressed in their finest attire.

These remarkable celebrations exemplify the spirit of community and joy that thrives within RFBI villages. The residents’ enthusiasm and participation made the King’s Coronation a truly memorable event, fostering a sense of togetherness and celebration.
