As part of the Health Services Union (HSU) ‘Thank you for working in Aged Care day’ campaign, on Wednesday 12 September RFBI Villages in all 21 communities where we operate, hosted a special event designed specifically to say thanks to the team of over 1600 staff that make RFBI the leading not-for-profit aged care provider we are.

From sausage sizzles to pamper parties, teams came together to celebrate the work they do and the difference they make to the lives of older people in our communities.

It was also an opportunity to recognise those staff who have celebrated a work anniversary with over 135 certificates of service being awarded on the day.

Anita Johnson, Quality Officer, and Bobby Wilson, Personal Carer, have both worked at RFBI Armidale Masonic Village for a number of years.

“I love my job. I enjoy coming to work and making the residents laugh and smile.” says Anita.

Bobby agrees, “I enjoy working in aged care and I always strive to bring warmth and care when I visit the residents. They make my day and I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

“We are very family-oriented at RFBI. Our Christmas party is the best day every year because we celebrate with all the residents, volunteers and staff.”
