RFBI says ‘thanks’ to staff10 Sep 2019
As part of HSU’s National ‘Thank you for working in aged care’ campaign, our Village communities got together to acknowledge the great work our staff do and celebrate the positive difference they are making to the lives of people in their care.
“There is a lot of negative media coming out of the Royal Commission and this can be very disheartening for people working in aged care,” commented Frank Price, RFBI CEO.
“I want all of our staff to know that I appreciate their commitment and dedication to our residents and clients and value the wonderful care they are providing.”
Today, each of our 22 residential care villages stopped work to celebrate the great care and services they provide and acknowledge those who are celebrating milestone anniversaries with RFBI.
“Having a stable workforce ensures our residents and clients receive high quality care from people they know. I am very proud to have over 40% of our team celebrating anniversaries of five years or more this year,” commented Mr Price.
RFBI Lakemba Masonic Village in particular had a lot to celebrate with three staff members receiving Years of Service awards.
“We wanted to celebrate this day with both our staff and residents and we all mean a lot to each other,” said Attie Cheng, General Manager.
“I have been working at the Village for 15 years and have enjoyed every minute of it,” commented Sharon Jones, Hotel Services Officer.
