RFBI Bathurst Masonic Village was buzzing with excitement yesterday as they became the first of RFBI’s residents to receive the COVID-19 vaccination.

“We have been sharing information about the vaccine to our residents and their families, ensuring everyone has the information they need to make an informed decision,” shared Colleen Barnes, Care Manager at RFBI Bathurst Masonic Village.

“Our residents had been looking forward to getting the vaccination as they can’t wait to resume their regular outings. They know it will help protect them and others in our community.”

“It happened so quickly, I didn’t feel a thing!” said Corrie Josey, our 102 year old resident who was first in line.

The next residents at RFBI to be vaccinated will be our residents in Grevillea and Jacaranda House within our RFBI Hawkins Masonic Village. Their vaccination will take place tomorrow, Wednesday 17 March.
