Our residents come from a range of different cultural backgrounds which each have their own celebrations and traditions. Our Leisure & Lifestyle team are always looking for ways to show how much we appreciate the days that are important to them by celebrating them with staff and other residents.

Our RFBI Lakemba Masonic Village team recently held a special Chinese New Year celebration that incorporated many of the traditions that our residents look forward to annually.

Our chefs prepared a tasty meal of dim sims, money bags and spring rolls, which were a huge hit with all.

We also shared with staff and residents red packets and fortune cookies, with a few exciting fortunes revealed on the day.

It was a fantastic way for us all to welcome in the year of the Ox. In Chinese culture, the Ox is a valued animal, and so to are the people (residents, volunteers, staff and guests) who make our communities so vibrant and special.
