RFBI donates $60000 to Can Assist Dubbo
RFBI has covered a year’s worth of expenses for Can Assist Dubbo. Douglas James, RFBI Board Director was recently in Dubbo to hand a $60,000 cheque to Can Assist Dubbo President, Prue Thompson.

The donation was initiated Can Assist member and member of the Dubbo Freemason’s, Des Sanderg who also in attendance.

“The donation will help to relieve some of the pressures on the community to donate to Can Assist, as it has been hard on many in recent times due to the drought and bushfires,” say Prue Thompson, President of Can Assist Dubbo who also said that it was an “extremely generous” donation.

Can Assist is a membership-based volunteer-driven charity committed to ensuring that all people in NSW, have access to cancer treatment and care, by providing accommodation, financial assistance and practical support to people from rural and regional areas.

RFBI Board Director, Douglas James said the donation is the result of understanding the importance of the work Can Assist do.

“I wish we would have been able to support Can Assist for more than just a year.”
