RFBI donates $20,000 to support NSW Scout Support Fund

Today RFBI Chairman David Adams presented a cheque for $20,000 to Neville Tomkins OAM, Chief Commissioner of Scouts Australia (NSW Branch) to support children from financially disadvantaged backgrounds to enable them to join the Scouts, have fun, make new friends and learn lifelong skills.

The Scouts program provides a varied, fun approach to the development of new skills such as leadership and team building, personal confidence, resilience and self-reliance. However, many families are challenged to afford even the low cost of scouting. To help with this challenge RFBI has donated to their

Family Support Fund. This Fund helps young members to afford their uniform, membership fees, and the cost of outdoor activities such as camping and adventurous pursuits.

RFBI is delighted to support this amazing organization and is excited to further develop the relationship between our two organisations in a way that will bring joy to our elderly residents in 2018 and beyond – watch this space to find out more!
