There are a lot of special mums who live, work, and volunteer within RFBI. Mums who have given so much of their time to others, so it’s only too fitting to celebrate them on a special day like Mother’s Day.

Across our villages, Mother’s Day was celebrated with thoughtful gifts, delightful experiences, and engaging events that brought smiles and warm memories to all involved.

In RFBI Basin View Masonic Village and RFBI Berry Masonic Village residents were treated to special high teas featuring scrumptious baked goods and warm cups of tea. Residents in Basin View were presented thoughtful gifts both from our Auxiliary and our Leisure & Lifestyle teams, who wanted to acknowledge and say thank you to the mothers living within the villages.

In RFBI Holt Masonic Village, residents spent time in a creative and aromatic activity, making beautiful lavender bags. This hands-on activity allowed residents to create lovely, scented keepsakes that they could cherish. The process of making the lavender bags was enjoyable and therapeutic, adding a unique touch to the Mother’s Day celebrations.

A completely different vibe was enjoyed in RFBI Raleigh Urunga Masonic Village, where residents enjoyed a Hawaiian-themed lunch surrounded by coastal décor whilst sipping on yummy fruit punch from vibrant cocktail glasses. Residents and staff embraced the theme by wearing grass skirts and Hawaiian shirts and a specially designed menu featuring Hawaiian chicken or ham steaks and pineapple, followed by pavlova for dessert was enjoyed by all.

Beyond the events hosted across our villages, residents spent special time with family members at lunches or during visits.

To all the mothers across RFBI, Happy Mother’s Day!
