RFBI Berry Masonic Village welcomes new GM, Wendy

Sonia Lim 9 Dec 2022

RFBI Berry Masonic Village has welcomed a new General Manager to the village, Wendy.

Wendy has extensive experience in the aged care industry, having worked in it since 1979. Wendy was inspired by her own father’s journey, who she supported later in life. She committed her career to improving the quality and safety of aged care services. She has certainly had an impact in her first few months with us.

Wendy’s career has taken her through work as an emergency nurse, before moving into hospitality management and, in more recent years, working in clinical governance. She is backed by a range of qualifications, including in Nursing, Health Management, Emergency Nursing, Midwifery and Journalism.

Wendy continues to support our commitment to quality care in our Berry village by supporting our staff and mentoring our staff and ensuring we have the best processes in place to support the health and wellbeing of residents.

Outside of work, Wendy lives in the heart of Wollongong so she can leisurely walk to her favourite restaurants with her two adult children; for a swim in the beach with her partner and their German Shepherd pup, Merkel; and to take in the beautiful Wollongong harbour. She also loves exploring the scenic destinations throughout the Southern Tablelands.
