The creative spirit is alive and well at RFBI Armidale Masonic Village. After a year of hard work, experimentation and artistic dedication, the residents recently showcased their talents at the annual Armidale Show with spectacular results.

The local show is a major event on the calendar for our Armidale community. Throughout the year our village art and craft groups worked diligently on pieces specifically for entry, exploring different mediums from clay to portraiture.

This year, the judges were clearly impressed by the caliber of work coming out of the village. We are thrilled to announce that RFBI Armidale came away with four first place ribbons and four second place ribbons!

Highlights of the competition included:

• Roger, whose intricate clay sculpture titled ‘The Human Brain’ captured the judges’ attention and secured first place.
• Brian, who showcased his technical skill and personal expression with a self-portrait that also earned him first place.

To celebrate their achievements, residents enjoyed a sunny outing to the showgrounds to see their work on display and soak up the atmosphere of the show. For those who couldn’t make it on the day, we have recreated the award-winning display back at the village for families and friends to enjoy.

We are incredibly proud of everyone who entered and contributed to our vibrant display.
