Our villages offer a range of educational, health-focused and social activities for our residents. We know that a busy schedule of activities keeps our residents connected, increases feelings of self-esteem and confidence, boosts happiness, and improves mental health.

Whilst we hold many activities that anyone can join, we also hold activities specific to some groups within our villages that we know might not actively participate in larger activities.

We started our weekly Men’s Social Club at RFBI Coffs Harbour Masonic Village to give our male residents the opportunity to come together in a social way that best suits them. We find men quite often gravitate to gender specific activities, so we hold games of chess or pool, get our hands dirty doing woodwork, or simply have a chat and Google ‘stuff’ over a beer and some snacks.

It’s a lot of fun and also a comfortable environment for residents who may not feel confident being part of some of our larger activities.
