Remembrance Day at RFBI Holt Masonic Village

Sonia Lim 11 Nov 2019

In honour of Remembrance Day, residents at RFBI Holt Masonic Village were presented with war memorial artifacts from Australia’s First World War. These items were on loan from the Australian War Memorial and included objects that explore the Anzac experience, as well as the contribution of Australian sailors, airmen, nurses, and those at home during a defining period in our nation’s history.

As residents gathered around to get a closer look at the artifacts, they were heard sharing stories from their experience in the armed forces as well as their parent’s involvement in World War One. And together acknowledged the selfless contributions and sacrifices that soldiers have made and continue to make for their country.

Across all RFBI Villages, our staff organise celebrations and ceremonies to mark important occasions. To read more news and events, visit /https://rfbi.com.au//news-events/
