The Olympics spirit was in the air in RFBI Holt Masonic Village recently when our residents and staff took on the challenge of competing in some fun games that got everyone moving and thinking.

We spilt residents into two teams – a red and a blue team. Residents wore a scarf to represent their colour, whilst staff wore a red or blue shirt to align with their designated team. The competition was fierce as residents played and represented their teams. It was difficult to pick a winner in some of the events.

Residents participated in archery, which was fantastic for their hand-eye coordination; seated balloon tennis, which is always a favourite; and a number of other games that were organised by our Leisure & Lifestyle team. It was amazing to see the accuracy, sense of enjoyment and the pride when participants delivered a great shot or did something wonderful to help their team win.

Unfortunately at the end only one team could win – for our Leeton Mini Olympics in 2022, the red team came out victorious. General Manager, Faye, awarded the winners their amazing medals that were crafted by residents and staff during art and craft time.
