Every year we have a fantastic number of students and schools who put their hands up to create Christmas cards for our annual competition. We had 32 schools participate in the competition this year. Residents from our villages judge the local student’s creations, and we award a certificate and $50 book voucher to the student, and $100 book voucher for the library of the school to the winner.

This year our staff have visited the local schools to present the awards to the winners. Melinda Benson, GM from RFBI Basin View Masonic Village personally presented winners at St Georges Basin Public School their awards.

However, our residents at RFBI Bathurst Masonic Village were lucky to have a visit from the children themselves last week. Children from the Elizabeth Chifley Preschool and their mums travelled by bus to our village for the RFBI Christmas Cards Competition 2020 presentation. They even treated residents to some Christmas tunes and dancing.

RFBI Leeton Masonic Village also had a visit from the winning students from GoodStart Early Learning Centre.

Our residents always love having the kids visit and it created a very memorable experience for them at a special time of the year.
