Raising our cups to Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea
9 Jun 2021After the year our residents and team have had, we thought that it was a great idea to bring everyone together for a cuppa and to show our support for Cancer Council’s Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea. The teams across our villages put on some spectacular morning tea spreads for a good cause, and together we raised funds for people impacted by cancer.
Our RFBI Hawkins Masonic Village created a tasty spread of treats and hot tea for staff and residents to enjoy, and together the village raised $535 towards the cause. Our RFBI Lake Haven Masonic Village also held a yummy morning tea, but took the occasion outdoors under the new gazebo. Together the residents and staff raised $100.
Our RFBI Bathurst Masonic Village took this year’s morning occasion up a notch, with a fantastic sing-a-long, tea pot decorations created by the craft ladies, and a delicious morning tea. Staff even dressed in yellow to celebrate the occasion. All together the village raised $250.
A big congratulations to all for helping to raise funds towards an important cause – to find a cure for a disease that unfortunately affects many.
