RFBI Tamworth Masonic Village was recently awash with a sea of bright colours, cosy slippers and plenty of laughter as the community hosted a special pyjama party.

We were delighted to welcome children from local preschool, Ekidna, who joined the fun for a wonderful morning of activities. Arriving in their most colourful pyjamas, the children spent the morning singing, dancing and sharing stories with the residents. The Ekidna team visits the village every second Monday and everyone was incredibly excited to celebrate this special theme day together.

Residents, staff and the visiting children all fully embraced the dress-up theme, creating a warm, vibrant and cheerful atmosphere across the room. The children kept everyone thoroughly entertained with their performances, with many residents commenting that the energetic visit was the absolute highlight of their day.

Following the morning’s dancing a delicious morning tea was served by the Catering team, with plenty of extra refreshments offered throughout the day to keep both the young and the young-at-heart feeling completely energised and comfortable.

These structured intergenerational activities are a core part of the calendar organised by the Leisure & Lifestyle team, helping the residents maintain independence, share their wisdom and build meaningful new friendships with the local youth.
