We are very fortunate to have amazing individuals in our teams who work hard to build connections with local businesses for the benefit of residents in our villages. We have the support of a range of businesses within our local communities, and we appreciate the opportunities that come our way as a result.

Recently our residents in RFBI Berry Masonic Village were very fortunate to have a special visit from the Activity Coordinator from Nowra Bunnings, Penny.

She very kindly invited ten of our residents to participate in a fun pot painting activity.

The residents creatively adorned terracotta pots with their chosen colours and designs, allowing their artistic talents to shine. To ensure the longevity of their creations, the pots were carefully sprayed on the outside.

The following day, the pots were filled with gardening soil generously provided by Bunnings. Each resident had the pleasure of selecting and planting either a vibrant Marigold or a beautiful Cockscomb flower in their pots.

In addition to the exciting pot painting activity, Bunnings showed their immense support by donating a new BBQ to RFBI Berry Masonic Village. The previous BBQ had become rusty and unreliable, and the new addition will allow monthly BBQ gatherings for all residents in each of the houses. The village community expresses its deep appreciation to Bunnings for their very kind contributions to enriching the lives of our seniors.

A special note of gratitude is also extended to Paul, the village’s maintenance worker, who played a vital role in organising and facilitating this experience for residents.
