50th Anniversary moon landing at RFBI Berry Masonic Village

Fifty years ago on 20 July 1969, Apollo 11 landed on the moon and Neil Armstrong made history by becoming the first person to walk on the Moon.

To commemorate this event, our Lifestyle team at RFBI Berry Masonic Village set up a display of the moon and the mission in the dining room for residents to view. It was an afternoon of trivia filled with interesting facts about the famous “One Giant Leap” for mankind event.

“Our residents were very interested to learn more about the moon landing and even had some funny stories about the moon landing to share. It was great to see the residents enjoying themselves this afternoon,” commented Mark, our Lifestyle Officer.
