Live piano music transforms lunchtime dining at Concord
7 Sep 2026The dining room at RFBI Concord Masonic Village has taken on a wonderfully harmonious tone recently, thanks to a delightful new musical initiative during lunchtime.
Dedicated volunteer Robin has been filling the room with beautiful live piano performances while our residents enjoy their midday meals. Robin’s connection to the village runs deep, she previously spent time at Concord as a student on placement and enjoyed her experience so much that she returned as a volunteer to share her incredible musical talents.
The live piano performances have elevated the dining experience into a highlight of the day. The gentle music creates a warm, relaxing atmosphere, encourages lively table conversation, evokes cherished memories and brings a sense of comfort and serenity to the dining room.
Many residents now look forward to hearing Robin play each week, with several noting how much peace and happiness her music brings to their afternoon.
Initiatives like these are supported by our Leisure & Lifestyle team to ensure life at the Village is filled with choice, warmth and continuous community connection. Robin’s return to the village highlights the strong, family-like culture that inspires staff, students and volunteers alike to stay connected with the RFBI community.
