RFBI Lake Haven Masonic Village celebrates 35 years of service
1 Mar 2026RFBI is proud to celebrate a special milestone as RFBI Lake Haven Masonic Village marks 35 years of caring for older Australians.
Since opening its doors in 1991, the village has been a warm and welcoming home for thousands of residents, built on a strong foundation of compassion, respect and genuine connection. Over the years, it has grown into a close-knit community where residents and families feel supported and valued every day.
The anniversary was celebrated with a joyful lunch on Tuesday, 24 February, bringing together residents, families, staff past and present; and members of the local community. It was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the village’s journey and share memories with those who have been part of its story.
James Figallo, General Manager at RFBI Lake Haven Masonic Village, said the milestone is a chance to recognise the people who make the village so special.
“For 35 years, RFBI Lake Haven Masonic Village has been a place where older people are respected, supported and surrounded by kindness. Our staff give so much of themselves every day to ensure residents can live comfortable and fulfilling lives,” he said.
Guests enjoyed a look back in time through a historical photo montage, along with a heartfelt speech from long-standing staff member Lindy Twyford, Dining & Food Services Manager. A cake-cutting ceremony added to the celebrations, bringing everyone together to mark the occasion.
Resident Sandra Bridge, who has lived in the village for 16 years, said it’s the little things that make such a big difference.
“The care here is something special. The staff know residents so well, our routines, our stories, what brings us comfort. It truly feels like a community,” she said.
As RFBI Lake Haven Masonic Village celebrates 35 years, it also looks ahead with pride, continuing its commitment to providing high-quality aged care where dignity, safety and meaningful connections remain at the heart of everything it does.
