On Tuesday 22nd March, RFBI Lake Haven Masonic Village welcomed the Men’s Health Education Rural Van (MHERV) to Lake Haven with a wonderful morning tea. Helping us welcome MHERV to the community was Emma McBride MP, Member for Dobell, the NSW Rural Fire Service, our Lake Haven’s Men’s Shed, residents and staff at the Village. Guests at the event were entertained to the sounds of Cat Stevens, James Taylor and The Beatles by singer and guitarist, Tony Hitchcock.

MHERV is one of the important initiatives RFBI supports and provides funds to have a registered nurse travel with the van throughout NSW to provide free health checks. Since this program commenced in 2017, MHERV has visited over 100 communities and provided more than 10,000 free health checks.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us to support this great initiative. If you would like to find out more about MHERV and how you can help keep this vital service on the road, visit https://rfbi.com.au//donate-to-help-a-mate/
