Kurri Kurri residents celebrate 75 years of marriage

Mick and Veda’s is a love story we can all appreciate. They have and always have had a special something between them – some could say they were meant to be. The wonderful couple who live in our RFBI Kurri Kurri Masonic Village have just celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary. 75 years – that’s no easy feat.

After meeting at a local dance when Veda was 20 and Mick was 24, the rest became history. Married in Christ Church Mount Vincent in Newcastle on 14 December, 1946, the couple have inspired us all with their stories of affection and dedication.

The pair have raised three wonderful sons – Gavin, Barry and Kevin – and have spent their life together, playing sports (including winning a lawn bowls championship together) and making memories.

Congratulations Mick and Veda!
