August begins with a day that has become popular across our villages – August 1 marks the standardised birthday for every horse!

Our residents have such wonderful memories of horses. Many have shared that they grew up riding horses, using them for transport, spending time loving them as a pet, or looking forward to seeing them during visits to local farms.

Horses are a popular animal for residents for many reasons. So on their annual day of celebration, our RFBI Leeton Masonic Village Leisure and Lifestyle Team arranged some fun arts and crafts activities to celebrate. Our residents decorated pictures with colourful feathers, glitter and scrunched paper to create some wonderful horse themed art.

We love to see our resident’s creativity when it comes to our crafts activities, and the unique style of each picture really reflected each individual’s vision and approach to the activity.
