We are so inspired by the people, businesses and community-serving organisations that surround our villages across our locations. One that we’ve recently had the opportunity to learn more about is the Pegasus Riding for the Disabled program in Holt, which is one of Canberra’s oldest local charities.

Pegasus provides therapeutic horse facilitated programs and activities to people living with a disability. The programs offer countless therapeutic benefits to people living with a disability, and can also help to build confidence, balance and coordination in participants.

Our residents from RFBI Holt Masonic Village were recently treated to an hour at the farm, where they met the horses that have such an impact on many lives. Our residents were particularly smitten with Billy, who they had the chance to pat and chat to. The visit was finished with a morning tea that was enjoyed by all.

Residents had such a great experience that we’ve lined up more visits to Pegasus in the future!
