Today, 17 March, RFBI Hawkins Masonic Village became our 2nd Village to receive the COVID-19 vaccinations.

“Our residents were very excited and had been looking forward to receiving the vaccinations. It is important that everyone in our care is protected and safe. We had received positive response from our residents and their families and were delighted to have a large number of residents choosing to have the vaccine” shared Larissa Williams, General Manager at RFBI Hawkins Masonic Village.

Residents taking the vaccine today all agreed that they “didn’t feel a thing!” and were happy to finally be vaccinated.

“I’m glad that mum received the vaccine, it will keep her safe,” said the daughter of our resident, Marie, who came to visit.

Also on the list of vaccine recipients was our CEO, Frank Price. He was the first RFBI staff in the organisation to receive the vaccine.

“I am very happy to be able to share this day with our Chief of Operations, Louanne Riboldi and Larissa Williams, GM of the Village. I encourage everyone to take this opportunity to take the  vaccine. This is the first step to take as we work our way out of this pandemic,” said Frank.

The next vaccine roll-out is scheduled for RFBI Basin View Masonic Village on Saturday, 27 March.
