At RFBI Dubbo Masonic Village, the vibrant spirit of the 60s came alive during a groovy Flower Power Morning Tea in January. Residents and staff donned their finest retro attire, embracing the era’s iconic fashion and nostalgic charm. From psychedelic prints to bell-bottoms, the village was abuzz with laughter, music, and the unmistakable vibe of the swinging sixties.

The morning kicked off with a delightful spread of treats as everyone gathered for a small morning tea. Amidst the chatter and excitement, attendees were treated to a captivating slide show showcasing snapshots of the past, evoking fond memories and sparking lively conversations. Trivia questions added an extra layer of fun, testing everyone’s knowledge of the era’s pop culture and history.

As the tunes of 60s music filled the air, residents and staff couldn’t resist singing along to the timeless classics, transporting themselves back to a simpler time. The atmosphere was electric, brimming with joy and camaraderie as generations came together to celebrate a shared love for nostalgia and good vibes.

To celebrate the efforts of all in dressing up for the occasion, we held a special Best Dressed Awards.

Congratulations to Lyn for winning Best Dressed Staff and to Olive for capturing the title of Best Dressed Resident – your commitment to the theme truly shone brightly!

Special thanks go to all who contributed to making this Flower Power Morning Tea a resounding success, spreading smiles and laughter throughout the village.
