At RFBI, we believe in fostering inclusivity and embracing diverse cultures across our villages and services. Each year our villages and staff participate in NAIDOC Week, organising a range of activities that brought joy and cultural appreciation to our residents. We are fortunate to have Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people within our teams and communities who are able to help us facilitate cultural experiences for staff and residents with respect.

Residents in RFBI Glen Innes Masonic Village came together to create a breathtaking Aboriginal artwork, guided by our Indigenous staff members. The artwork they crafted served as a powerful symbol of appreciation and acknowledgment for the heritage of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

Meanwhile, at RFBI Goulburn Masonic Village, our residents immersed themselves in a captivating afternoon of dot painting and learning about NAIDOC Week. Those who took part flourished, unleashing their creativity and forming intricate designs with cotton buds. It was fascinating to witness the joy and enthusiasm radiating from our residents as they discovered more about the vibrant culture and traditions associated with NAIDOC Week.

At RFBI, we firmly believe that it is the combined efforts of our compassionate staff and enthusiastic residents that make these experiences truly remarkable. Together, we celebrate the spirit of inclusivity and strive to create an environment where everyone feels valued and cherished.
