Our residents at RFBI Dubbo Masonic Village have set off on another adventure through our regular Armchair Travel, which is organised by our Leisure & Lifestyle team.

Most recently residents were taken on an in-village tour of Mexico, a country famous for its culture, amazing food, interesting temples and sparkling coastline. Our team dressed in theme for the experience and dished up some authentic fish and beef nachos, as well as a special home-grown chilli prepared by our wonderful Lifestyle Officer, Emma. Yum! One of the resident’s favourite features of the themed experience was the Pinata, which they all took to hitting to discover the candy inside.

Our Leisure and Lifestyle team across our villages have a vital role in our resident’s lives everyday. They work behind the scenes to prepare interesting and beneficial activities tailored to our residents around their physical, social and recreational wants and needs.

Our Armchair Travel adventures are always a hit because it helps residents to experience the world from their home. It’s a powerful sensory activity that gets residents talking about their experiences and gain cultural and historical appreciation for other interesting countries around the world.

Does organising activities to keep older people active, interested, healthy and entertained sound like something you would be passionate about? Click here to take a look at our latest Leisure & Lifestyle opportunities.
