Dubbo residents donate to Cardio for Cancer

Holding a morning or afternoon tea whilst fundraising for a cause we care about is a frequent occurrence across our villages. Our residents are passionate about helping others and often share ideas on charities that deserve our time and recognition. And it’s never too difficult to encourage them to come and enjoy some yummy cake and sip a cup of tea!

We recently held a morning tea fundraiser in our RFBI Dubbo Masonic Village to raise funds for Canteen’s Cardio for Cancer initiative. Together the team and residents raised $100 towards a cause that is helping young Australians and their families to stand up to cancer.

Our Catering Team prepared some delicious goodies for all to enjoy and our wonderful Hospitality Officer, Karen, even took the time to knit a beautiful knee blanket to offer as a lucky door prize for the morning tea.

It was a great event and everyone involved was thrilled to be able to donate to an important cause.
