Driving down memory lane8 Jul 2019
It may have started as a cold and wet morning but as the rain cleared, residents at RFBI Dubbo Masonic Village got up close with a variety of vintage cars that belonged to the Dubbo Car Club.
“It was a form of nostalgic therapy for our residents as we listen to them share stories about cars they owned in their lifetime. You could see the excitement in their eyes as they relived memories of their past,” says Nathan Morton, Lifestyle Supervisor.
Members of the Dubbo Car Club enjoyed morning tea with the residents and were delighted to drive some of our lucky residents around the Village.
“It made me feel young again. Riding with the top down, wind in my face, it felt great,” commented Yvonne Rayner, resident at the Village.
For residents at Villages across RFBI, events like these are organised to regularly to keep our residents active and socially engaged. Read more about RFBI News and Events at https://rfbi.com.au/news-events/
