In celebration of World Chocolate Day our residents and staff from RFBI West Wyalong Masonic Village decided to do something a little different – make our own delicious chocolate treats.

Our residents love getting creative in the kitchen and many of them are extremely skilled at baking and preparing food. So our Leisure & Lifestyle team created a fun afternoon to celebrate choccy by preparing a spread of ingredients to make some delicious, oversized chocolate freckles. From milk chocolate to white chocolate, a range of sprinkle types and a few other little treats to add on top, our residents had a wonderful creating a chocolate freckle that suited their tastes.

The residents said the activity brought back a lot of memories for them.

The experience was made even better when they tasted their hard work over a cup of tea afterwards.

Resident, Robert (pictured) said “It was fun decorating and eating my freckle. I am going to save some in the fridge so I can eat it tomorrow too.”
