Last month residents and staff from our RFBI Dubbo Masonic Village held a special morning tea as part of Cancer Council’s national fundraising event, Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea. Thanks to the generosity of our staff and residents we raised $150 that will go towards people who have been impacted by cancer.

We hold regular fundraising activities across our villages for causes we care about. To make this event unique, we decided to choose a theme – Disney. What a hit it was!

We played Disney songs in the background, screened Fantasia on the television and everyone dressed up for the occasion. From pirates and Indians straight out of Peter Pan, to the evil queen from Snow White and Minnie Mouse, we had some very creative costumes on display over the morning.

Our staff prepared a yummy spread of apricot and date balls, biscuits, scones and peppermint slice which we all enjoyed with a cuppa and a good sing-along.

It was a magical occasion for a good cause.
