Connecting generations at Concord
2 Jan 2026The decorations may have been taken down but we’ve begun a new year in the way we always do – with plenty of activities, outings and events planned for the month.
In RFBI Concord Community Village, the start of a new year meant the opportunity to reconnect with the younger generation through a special outing to Mini Masterminds Lidombe.
Watching an 80-year-old and a five-year-old share laughter over a piece of artwork was a powerful reminder that while our ages may differ, our hearts speak the same language.
Residents sat alongside the children, sharing stories, smiles and moments of genuine connection. As conversations flowed and creativity filled the room, one message became clear – joy truly has no age limit and friendships can blossom, no matter the age difference.
These experiences do more than bridge generations. They offer residents a deep sense of belonging, purpose and connection that lasts well beyond the visit itself.
We extend a heartfelt thank you to the team and children at Mini Masterminds Lidcombe for welcoming us so warmly. Moments like these reflect RFBI’s commitment to building inclusive communities where people of all ages feel valued, connected and at home.
