Community quilters share special gift

Sonia Lim 2 Apr 2026

Residents in RFBI West Wyalong Masonic Village were delighted to welcome members of the local West Wyalong Quilters group for a very special visit.

For the past six months the talented group of quilters have been carefully crafting a collection of beautiful handmade rugs to donate to residents at the village. Their thoughtful work came to fruition this week, when they visited the village to personally deliver the gifts.

In total, the group generously donated 20 handcrafted rugs, each one unique and made with care. Along with the rugs, the quilters also created a number of small handmade bags which residents can use for personal items such as toiletries.

The visit was warmly received by both residents and staff, who were incredibly grateful for the time, effort and kindness that went into creating such meaningful gifts.

Handmade items carry a special kind of warmth and these beautiful rugs will not only provide comfort but also serve as a lasting reminder of the generosity and community spirit shared between the village and the local community.

RFBI West Wyalong extends a heartfelt thank you to the West Wyalong Quilters for their marvellous efforts and the kindness they have shown to the residents.
